He's not promising returns and taking money and spending it on himself and paying others off with it. Your money is not being stolen, you are gambling with it.

Remember back in the Dot Com era - the last thing you wanted to do was show a profit.

When Amazon crashes and burns, it will take out a lot of people.

The difference is that no one can claim ignorance of the performance of Amazon.

Amazon is one of the oldest tech companies out there too. It's not as if they popped up in 2002 or 2005. They've been around since 1994.

Amazon kinda reminds me of Uber. They promise customers low prices and a good value. But you can pretty much guarantee once they completely fuck over the competition, they will then completely fuck over their employees or the consumer.

...when amazon starts delivering by drone theyll take a pretty big step that other retailers will be able to follow for the foreseeable future. i did a building rehab for amazons 1st hq building in seattle in '99. all the executive offices were bullet proof glass and kevlar lined sheetrock plus card readers to get into the area of the executive offices. people were talking back then how jeff bezos was playing with other peoples money and it was going to catch up to him. while we were doing the punch list items several people were having going away parties as their stock options had paid off. :dontknow:

Yes, but will original customers still be alive when that finally starts happening? It's been a couple of decades.

I use them a lot. They have some insane money losing policies. I will order a bunch of household items, often quite similar. All free shipping, all pretty low priced. The ten items will arrive over 2-3 days in about 4 different packages, half from USPS and half from UPS.

I ordered paper towels by the case. 4 cases every 6 months. Same order. Once they arrived over several days in 3 seperate shipments. Some shipments arrived on the same day, from two different carriers.

Another thing. I'll get one box, one item. Then a second box, the second identical item in the other box, sent via another carrier. It's not some strange thing. It's toothpaste or vitamins. It's like they're not even trying. They just want your market share.

I've experienced this so many times. It makes no sense. I've ordered hundreds of one item from Amazon directly (not a 3rd party) and they sent them all in individual boxes from multiple carriers.

Consumers think Amazon is brilliant because Amazon always gives the customer the benefit of the doubt and make it right. But Amazon does a ton of brilliant things and TONS of boneheaded things as well.

How is it that so many people don't get that this is happening??? It's frustrating as hell. Too many people are praising the companies that are watering down the US Economy.

Idiots....plus they may own stock in companies that are artificially inflated by the Fed policies...the greatest ponzi scheme in history. But, that's another story
