Anyone spring for one? I got questions.
I've had one for about 6 months. I love it, but I only paid $99.
Ok, how'd you get the deal? And then, can it be used as a conference call phone?
Bought it for 99, sold it for 220 on eBay as soon as it arrived.
I was on the original order. For that price is can't be beat. You can use it as a speaker for your phone but I don't believe that the mic works on a phone call.
I use it mostly as a music player, kitchen timer, listen to Gilbert's podcast, etc.
Yeah, I got one of the first ones and had it situated in the kitchen. But then promptly sold it a few weeks after. It's a novelty that faded when you realize it's not doing anything more than what Siri or Google Now can provide. The sound quality is meh also so it didn't replace the home stereo. The stupid and entertaining question and answer period lasted the least before you tire of it. The best part is the ability to call up songs from the Amz library on the fly. I do miss that part.
Excellent product for lonely guys who need a woman to talk to them.
Is this thing lame? Does it serve any useful purposes? Do you feel like a douche talking to something in your home by saying "Hey Alexa". I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it or not to own one of these things.
