Charlie Sheen quotes Abraham Lincoln in anti-Donald Trump tweet, urges America to ‘wake up’ BY Meera Jagannathan NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Saturday, February 27, 2016, 11:42 AM AP Photo Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen. Apparently The Donald isn’t such a #winning candidate anymore. Charlie Sheen, who exactly six months ago was gunning to be blowhard billionaire Donald Trump’s running mate, has jumped aboard the #AnyoneButTrump train. “hey Trump, ‘A farce or comedy is best played; a tragedy is best read at home’ Abe Lincoln,” the Hollywood hellion tweeted Saturday morning. But the erratic “Two and a Half Men” star had backed Trump on Aug. 27, two months after the orange-hued reality star announced his run for the White House. “dear O. Wilson they took ur comment out of context! I'm honored! thank u!” he addressed actor Owen Wilson, who had branded Trump “the Charlie Sheen of politics.” “If Trump will hv me I'd be his VP in a heartbeat!” © #TrumpSheen16,” shilled the Tiger Blood aficionado. This wouldn’t be Sheen’s first 180 on the loudmouthed GOP front-runner: A month prior to his veep pitch, he called Trump “a sad & silly homunculus” and “a shame pile of idiocy.” It appears the disdain is mutual. During a word association game with Yahoo!, the mogul employed one of his favorite labels to describe Sheen: “Sad.” Despite the hard-partying actor’s latest denunciation, Trump has managed to secure a slew of high-profile endorsements — including his one-time nemesis Gov. Chris Christie, former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, ex-con reality star Teresa Giudice, gaffe-prone Sarah Palin, gun nut Ted Nugent and flat-Earth truther Tila Tequila.
