    The agenda they're pushing...

Someone shot at George Zimmerman and the headline was "geroge Zimmerman involved in ANOTHER SHOOTING"

body cameras matter, the officer showed a great deal of restraint, and the perp provided undeniable evidence of his transgression...

Body cams work. I guess my department will just pull a million dollars off the money tree growing in the front lot to purchase them

Just curious, how many officers out on patrol per shift in your department?

I am just asking because wearable cams are relatively cheap now a days.

Depends on the shift. But the real cost isn't the camera. The real cost is storing 8-12 hours of data per officer per shift that is stored on a server somewhere in case it needs to be retrieved. Meanwhile I am riding in a crown vic with 150,000 miles on it that sounds like it is going to blow up at any second

funds are available at federal and state agencies. compression of data via zip files can be implemented, non critical data can be erased after 30 day intervals or whatever...

    Fair enough. :hat:

EDIT, to be fair though, you wouldnt have to store 8 -12 hours of footage, you would only have to store any interactions, right? I guess in the busiest of places you are dealing with someone all shift. BUT i would think most officers spend their time NOT interacting with others. Maybe i am wrong.

So yeah, i guess you would have to hire someone to edit shit down to the stuff that NEEDS saved. So that is gonna be some bucks as well.

What i totally get though is if your current shit aint up to par, no need to be spending money elsewhere, that i know you already dont have.

Fuckin money, all boils down to it.
