A would-be rapper was shot dead while shooting a music video. Keaway Lafonz Ivy died from a single gunshot wound, reports WJLA. The gun was apparently being used as a prop in the video by one of his entourage as they filmed in Maryland on Wednesday. Ivy, who went by the stage name Kealo, was 21-years-old. Police have arrested Lafonzo Leonard Iracks, also 21. It is not yet known if the shooting was deliberate, reports NBC Washington and one witness told NBC Washington that the shooting was accidental. However, by Thursday police were calling the shooting a "homicide," reports ABC 7. Investigators say there were around 20 people in the parking lot of a housing complex when the gun went off. Iracks had fled the scene of the shooting but was later tracked down in northwestern Washington DC. Ivy is survived by his daughter, Skya. NBC 4 Washington Friends talked about an aspiring young rapper who went by the stage name Kea-lo Ivy, who was killed earlier this week while filming a music video.
