He said his ratings came out and he knew where his show stood. Where are these ratings? Also, why has Stern not mentioned this fact?

If it is getting mentioned they are (finally) being looked at. Could be part of the reason a bunch of non-101 shows were axed.

It would be nice to find out they are enforcing some kind of ratings. That should have some effect on the Stern compound

I just checked the siriusxm.com site. They're still showcasing Howard.

It might be. It probably would be an issue for BOR or GEEKTIME to have higher ratings than THSS.

If the ratings system were in effect like in Regular Radio. Howard would be well and truly fucked by now. And he certainly wouldn't command his insane salary based on his piss poor audience numbers . . . :coffee:

I've seen sirius employees in the elevator at our office holding packets with cover sheets entitled 'RATINGS:CONFIDENTIAL' and the sirius logo on the cover. Would LOVE to see what's under the cover but don't want to get fired as my company and sirius don't get along

I don't know why corporate doesn't release the ratings for their channels. I would think it would create competition among the various shows to produce better programming which benefits the company.

Nothing better than a healthy competition.

I bet it's worse than we think. Glenn Beck is killing Stern on XM no doubt in my mind.

The only reason I can think they won't want ratings released is that it would complicate their ability to sell commercials since there are plenty of niche channels with few listeners

He's mentioned in the past that 90% of all sirius listeners listen to him. Which means, if sirius has 23 million subscribers, 20 million listen to him. Obviously, a total load.

Arbitron has been tracking SiriusXM since 2007. Finding their ratings since then is harder than finding the Fountain of Youth. All we know is back in 2007, Howard had about 1.2 million total listeners for the week (that is cumulative not unique listeners). That averages about 240k listeners a day.

But that was before Howard went to 3 days a week and started to bore his audience to death with AGT talk. I can only imagine what his ratings are now.

If Howard had any sort of decent ratings he would be pumping it like crazy. My guess is he has a few hundred thousand listeners total at this point.

I've always said there are no more than 100,000 listeners on any given day and I'll bet it's closer to about 15,000.

If Howard gets to be too much of a bitch, Malone will do his own whisper-campaign and have those ratings "leaked."

It's what I'd do last week.
