I wanted to see Jimmy Fallon do his Young/Dylan songs. Sorry they couldn't get the rights. Nice work Doug Z Goodstein.

Don't kid yourself they could get the rights very easily, Howard's just too fucking cheap to pay for them.

Dream on if you think Doug Z. Douchestein going to pay for Young/Dylan songs. They can't even sing "Happy Birthday" on HTV.

Howard Allan Stern doesn't pay for it!
Robin gave Wiggy a dig immediately after the interview when Stern demanded Howardtv get right it ....:jj:...Wiggy doodled when she asked if they (HE) would pay for the music.

Fishbowl......remember the promise of amazing musical guests when Wiggy was a partner selling Sirius subs?

Just heard the Jimmy Fallon interview on the replay. WTF is wrong with Howard? He'd say something complimentary then throw in a little passive/aggressive jab, insinuating that Jimmy is fat, acts/looks gay, and doesn't have enough drive or ambition to be a bigger success. Howard also complained because a segment from his recent appearance where he sang with the band during a break wasn't included when the show was aired. Jimmy was nice about it at the time, but I wouldn't be surprised if he stays away from Howard in the future.

Just think of Maria Mehnewnews....actually I just noted H100 News is back to calling her by her actual name....for a while everyone went by Howard's pronunciation.....anyway..I think Howard left her angry..

It cost Mad Men $250,000 to play a portion of a Beatles song for 1 episode.

While I don't think Neil Young and Bob Dylan would cost that much, I think Howard TV would have to pay somebody's yearly salary for the rights to one of the songs.

Plus, their peeps would have to agree to allow the songs on Howard Tv.

Haven't heard that yet. Most of Howard's interviews suck so I usually skip them. Sometimes on weekends when I'm doing yard work I bring my headphones and listen to parts of the shows I missed, maybe I'll hear it later.

I thought it was great when Howard said You gotta see this on Howard TV. Robin called him out. 'You think they can clear the rights?'

Playing an original recording of a song is far far more expensive than playing a cover. The Mad Men thing was a huge deal because the Beatles charge exorbitant $ to play their music and even turn down people willing to pay, remember that movie I Am Sam that has Sean Penn play the retarded guy? They synchronized the whole movie entirely to Beatles tunes and were shocked they couldn't get rights to the songs so they had to get a bunch of indie artists to cover the songs they wanted and make them the same exact length and time signature as to not throw the movie off.

Covers are very cheap, I watched some syndicated rerun of Full House and they had a montage of Uncle Jesse being stressed out while some generic noname band played "Help!" It's seriously chump change to get the rights to cover a song on a satellite radio show, even popular artists.

    HVOD should do Rifftrax style.
People can download the radio show in MP3 format and sync it to the TV show. Would solve the rights problem.

    No shit!

I wanted to see the XXXFactor and I can't find it anywhere! I only found the shows from Allman and Rivers from the last 2-3 months, no one bothers posting anymore.

I was just listening to later in that show last night and Howard was making such a big deal about how Fallons impressions were so dead on that he even did the same hand movements McCartney does and how we should all make sure we see it on HowardTV.

Cheap fucking bastard. Couldn't even break free with enough Marbles to clear the theme from Charles in Charge?
