I had already turned over to Bubba, but my vote would go for Robin - or Benji - don't like either.

    So, who won?

And some dopes still don't understand the full value of what Jackie brought to the show. They shit on him like that miserable miser Howard does.

Believing Howard's revisionist history about Jackie's contribution to the show. Without Jackie the show would have been devoid of funny in it's glory years (90's).

    - - -

P.S. His entire staff (Fred included) can't still can't replace 1 man contributions.

P.S.S. And Artie was never involved in the creative process of the show. As some choose to believe. Even he admits that.

The staff beauty contest, when Jackie won, was on the Shuffle yesterday. Good times.

Jackie deserved a percentage of Howard's contract based on his performance in my opinion. Without his contributions Howard's wouldn't have earned his $500 million dollar pay day. Which was based on past and not current performance . . .

The proof of Jackie's influence is in the ratings - the last five years Jackie was on the show were the highest rated and most successful of it's history, the ratings started a slow decline when Jackie did not return and by the time Howard left free radio he was no longer a consistent #1 even in his home base of Manhattan.

Every deal constructed by Buchwald involved HOWARD getting a pile of marbles.
The genius of Don was to construct the deals so Coward Stern hid under a desk while his people haggled for his marbles with others.
That is the reason Stern never gave others the credit they deserved....because they would want more of his money.
When did his staff figure out the truth?? Did Jackie know he was paid by Howard??

Jackie wrote Howard's question's and jokes. Wrote Stuttering John's questions. Wrote all the bits. Wrote whatever Billy West said (Just watch the old E Show too see Jackie handing material to Billy West in real time.). I mean he was the driving force behind the show during it's glory years (1985 - 2000). He wasn't a 5 line Head Writer like that former homeless person/Intern turned Head Writer Benjy . . .

If Jackie worked for "Reggie Wages". He would still be there. But since he dared to ask for fair compensation Howard axed him. Like he axed Billy West, Stuttering John. KC, and Grillo . . .

They also "adjusted" the way in which the rating numbers were compiled during that same time period.

...BUT.....HS's numbers have always been a special something above and beyond the "actual" book numbers...and that was one of the ways
in which his show was sold in the real world.

When those real world numbers started to "flitter" just a bit....that's when certain eyebrows started to get raised....along with certain words coming
    from certain places. (..CC etc.)

....and then we/they started to enter and play all "knew" sorts of (blame(s)) games.

Jackie knew that Tom was Howard's hatchet man from the start I believe. As did Stuttering John, Billy West, KC, and Grillo. Which were all axed due to Howard forcing them to accept "Reggie Wages" or unemployment . . .

Tim is the new Tom. Howard's hatchet man when it comes to Marbles that is . . .

Jackie wanted out....and Jackie got out.

...everything else is BS reasonings and rationalizations after the fact.

At the time.....Jackie wanted out more than he wanted (the) money.
