Looks like Will Smith couldn't open a Wal-Mart these days.. The last real hit he had was I am legend back in '07 Oh well at least he has those talented kids to fall back on ... The Concussion film debuted Friday, after weeks of publicity, commercials, and media attention. The buzz hasn’t translated to big dollars. Via boxofficemojo.com, the estimated weekend haul for the movie is only $11 million. That puts it at No. 6 on the list, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($153 million), Daddy’s Home ($38 million), Joy ($17.5 million), Sisters ($13.8 million), and Alvin And The Chipmunks The Road Chip ($12.7 million). The only good news for Concussion is that it bested Point Break, which opened this weekend in even more theaters. The remake of the Patrick Swayze/Keanu Reeves classic made only $10.2 million. The worst news for Concussion is that it didn’t fare a whole lot better than NFL-backed bomb Draft Day, which earned $9.75 million in its opening weekend in April 2014.
