Awesome. i hope he tears that no talent strapper a new ass hole. Cumia in the right role with a decent co host is the closet anyone could come to classic stern. Patrice would have been perfect but gone too soon.

    Ant looking for a re-write?
Didn't he firebomb the O&A show?
Stinky,Rat, and Keith must love to hear Ant constantly whine about Opie.

Yeah, the shit's going down. It's gonna get ugly. Or it could be a bit a la Ron Bennington style.

    What's the deal? (self.TACSdiscussion)
submitted 19 hours ago by anthonycumiashowVerified
About the Ron thing. Yes, we'd love to have Ron on board here. We've been talking and trying to figure out a way to have him involved with the show/network that we're building. It's promising and once we make the move into NYC this summer im sure we'll have something worked out. I have the utmost respect for Ron as a person, friend and a broadcaster. I'd be lucky to have him involved in any way.
The Opie situation? Yes, things are getting a tad uncomfy. I don't like being made out to be the guy that wanted to leave the show. I didn't. Not even a little bit. Myself and the many different staff members of the O&A show were virtually held hostage every contract negotiation by Opie. Would he sign? Wouldn't he? In between contracts all we ever heard was how he wasn't signing. This last stint was one of the worst. I and the rest of the staff really thought this was it. You can listen to the show clips. It was no secret. There is a certain amount of resentment that comes with having another person literally toying with your life like that. Btw, it wasn't a bargaining tactic either. We never got more out of a deal from Opie playing this version of hardball. Honestly? I never could figure out why he was doing it. Dream gig. Huge cash. Sign the paper.
Am I a loose cannon? Somewhat. We all have our bullshit. I know I had my faults and tried to keep them from affecting the show. I honestly went in on a daily basis in a good mood and wanting to have a good time and do a fun show. I never even hinted of moving on. I'm assuming here but I think Opie took our lack of outside the show communication as a sign the show was on some decline to "the end". It wasn't. Jimmy and I especially were enjoying a lot of laughs on a daily basis. Opie was hit or miss as far as moods went. And if Opie was in a bad mood, you could assure that by mid show, everyone was. This is the kind of thing that made me think HE wanted to move in. If that was the case, FINE. But don't try to say this was a mutual thing.
As far as my firing goes? I have no clue what went on between the people in charge and the people on the show. I've speculated as to what I believe was or wasn't done to keep me on the show. I have no proof either way of the efforts made to negotiate my staying. I just know I wouldn't have let the pieces of shit we railed against for years disassemble what we built for 20yrs without a loud public battle. I didn't see that. So I speculate. Did I immediately start getting my show together? I sure did. After the years of "fuck these guys" and "if things don't change, I'm gone" you're damn right I was setting up a new camp. I'd have payed odds Opie was leaving.
Look. I really do wish everyone involved the best. The O&A show involved a lot more people than just O&A. There are some really nice funny talented people over there that deserve more than to have both of us idiots holding their futures in our hands. Thank you, good night! (Drops mic)

Anthony trying to re-write history. He firebombed the O&A show.
Now he is complaining about Opie fake retiring during contract negotiations?
