some of eastern mass has some and i'm going to find it
when the nicer weather gets here
watched a utube on what they look like and where to find them,so i'm practically an expert
anyone want to team up?
$800-$1000 a pound
the way i see it each plant is 1-2 ounces
say 8-16 plants = 1 pound
some hillbillies are going to make you squeal like a pig while some retarded boy plays banjo
really fucking hate firefox's spell checker
they would if i went into west virginia and kentucky
You're not hunting anything without a gun or a bow, faggot. You're going on a goddamn nature walk.
where does the ginseng grow? if you decide to search for it in NJ you're probably not going to find anything. you have to go to hillbilly land, and they defend their hunting grounds.
love to see you take a nature walk in the appalachian mountains
nobody in new england knows about it and it does grow here, just dont know how much and where
i thought it needed warm weather to grow big. when does NE get that much heat?
I'm down. I am pretty good at geo-caching so we should have an advantage.
It generally likes moist rich woods, bit I've found it on some drier hillsides. Most anyone who does know specific locations where it grows won't reveal their locations because they're afraid of "collectors" removing it all for profit. As you can see from the listing in the link, in many states where it occurs, it's considered a "protected" species and you may need a state or federal permit to harvest.
tough to get any real good info on the internet because everyone is so hush hush
you tube has some good vids but thats it
yea ginseng is plentiful along the Hudson Bay shoreline
I live in the woods. I probably have it right on my property.
Yeah there is a show on History where hillbillies do this.
i watched a good video earlier on how to identify the plant
