People say they are afraid of earthquakes. We have those every single day here in Cali.
Cant remember anyone dying from one though in 20+ years.

Tornadoes/Hurricanes scare the shit out of me even though they are predictable.

Then throw in all the flood waters and everyone is just fucked.

Stay safe if you are in harms way.

Thanks for the well wishes, @GaryPuppet!

I'm in St. Louis. There was a ton of flash flooding everywhere the last three days, but it's mostly gone today. The river levels are all high as hell right now though. If it rains hard again, we'll have issues. We haven't had any tornadoes on my side of the state yet, so I guess I can't complain if that's the worst of it.

My basement AND my car flooded. The water in the basement is containable, but the passenger side floor of my car is completely soaked. But hey, at least it wasn't snow...we'd be buried under about 20 inches right now.

Yea.I'm visiting relatives here in Florissant from SanDiego and gawtdamn it is cold now. Was nice lastweek. Flooding is worse south of StL. One whole town is basically underwater and they are stuck. Its supposed to snow too so that will add to the misery and oh the sewage plant failedso now there is shit in the water. Nice.

I don't know...I went home 141 to South Co Monday night and now I just saw a photo of the entire Valley Park intersection area (I-44/141) under water. Yikes.

Back in '93 I worked a job that took me back and forth to Illinois and people would ask me if the Arch was under water, haha. it did come up to the steps, but that thing is more than 600 feet high...if it was under water we'd all be in big trouble.

I live south and work in North County not too far from Florissant. Also, I'm heading out to St. Charles (across the Missouri river) tonight and have only heard about a few areas with big problems. Nothing to worry about probably.

IF you live in Missouri, the best thing that can happen to you is a flood that wipes your crappy home away.

Yikes indeed. My stomping grounds are North and Mid County. I haven't been far enough south to see any significant flooding.

In the Washington/Union area it's bad. In Pacific also. The rivers haven't crested, but more damage is coming. I have a Mom and her 2 girls staying with me. Their house and car flooded. It's cold, a sewer plant is under water and leaking sewage into the Meramec River, which will flow into the Mississippi. Buy bottled water or use your well.

How funny! I grew up in Hazelwood. I moved eight years ago to Overland. I live at Page and 170, so we're not far from each other at all. :cheer:

Be safe driving home. Definitely take 270. Those flood pics are no joke.
