Now I'm totally into these guys after hating them for 20 years.

    The new album is great.

And they put on a fucking pretty good show. Here is the Lollapalooza set from Friday night.

Yup, big fan. I've seen them 6 or 7 times starting in the early 2000s. Thanks for posting this!

So you were never a fan? Is this the album that converted you?

One of my top 5 favorite bands ever.

Also in the top five is Pavement (probably #1 actually)

I had bought OK Computer and Amnesiac when they first came out, and hated those albums. Never saw them live. I checked out this new album and it has blown me away. So now I've gone back again to take a look at them.

Do they always tour with two drummers?

I've seen them a few times. Best one was in 95 ( I think) at a little club. Payed 5 bucks.

No, not like in that vid. But the past coup,e tours they would have a really small extra kit they would bring out on certain songs and thom the singer or Johnny greenwood the lead guitar dude would play. This is the first I have seen them with a dedicated second drummer.

Surprised you didn't like amnesiac, I find a moon shaped pool to be most similar to that one.

They are phenomenal live, you got that right! And always very cool stage shows.

It was a awesome show. Maybe 100 people jammed in a little bar. I don't think I'd heard of them six months before that.

Huge change. Ok was a big difference and kid a was again. The first time I saw them they were basically a britpop band. Next time I saw them was years later.

Music is subjective, but I'd say they went downhill after OK Computer. Saw them last week at MSG in NYC, and I guess I am not as big of a fan as I thought I was, because I knew at most 8 songs of 24 they played. Can't stand Amnesiac and In Rainbows. Hail to the Thief was OK, but it had a lot of the same type of tracks as Amesiac and In Rainbows. Did not bother with King of Limbs and Moon Shaped Pool. Really a huge fan of The Bends. Not really a fan of lightly synthesized music with Thom warbling and wailing in the background. Am I missing something?

Any of you see Meeting People Is Easy ? It is on YouTube but I wasn't sure about posting it here?

Decent documentary following the band on tour after ok computer came out. Basically as they are blowing the fuck up. Worth watching if you are fan. Lots of really cool performance footage as well, usually shot from one camera in the crowd or off the side.

I need to watch that again.

The leap between that shit album Pablo Honey, where creep was the only good song, to the Bends has to be the biggest leap of brilliance in music history.
