I have a very inexpensive coffee maker I purchased some time ago for probably less than $20. I'd like to upgrade it, but there are a ton of options out there.

    I'm considering the Cuisinart DCC-1200 http://tinyurl.com/q79tz32
    good? bad?

    What's your favorite coffee maker?!?
    Thanks for any feedback

That's my coffee maker, love it. Mine's probably an older model, I've had it forever.

Oooohhh very timely. Just got back into bed with a cup of coffee that took me 20 minutes to coax out of my Kuerig. It's on its last legs, and the damn thing is only two years old (and not under warranty).

Anyone have one-cup coffee makers they like (including various Kuerig brands)?

have had this one for a few years and it rocks. on the expensive side for a coffee maker but its worth it also is a thermos so your coffee stays warm but not because its sitting on a fucking heater for three hours turning your nice coffee into sludge by 9

I have a Kitchen Aid, which I assumed would be really good (since their appliances are good).

The damn thing pees coffee all over the counter and I'm too annoyed to get a different machine.

I have a cheap Mr. Coffee. It works good enough and is cheap to replace.

I don't drink coffee but my wife does. She uses a Tassimo coffee maker. She says that the coffee taste much better than from a Kuerig. The downside is that the t-disks are harder to find in stores and there is not near the variety that Kuerig has.

I've been on a bit of a coffee oddessy lately. I had a keurig for many years and, even though the purists scoff at them, they can produce a good cup of coffee if you sift through the mostly crappy k-cups out there. I've only found a couple stand out brands - Barrista Prima and Starbucks.

As far as drip makers, I've had many. And they make a decent cup of coffee if you have good beans.

Since my keurig broke down, I decided to try a different direction and got an Aeropress. Really quick to make a cup of coffee and you can experiment a little to tweak the flavor to your liking. I was getting some sourness to my coffee so I increased the brew time a little and switched from Zero filtered water to Britta. That fixed the flavor problem. (Zero filters take all minerals out of the water but you actually need some to extract all the flavor from the coffee.)

Plus, they're really easy to clean.

However, nothing beats keurig for speed an convenience, nothing.

Go with a Bunn coffee maker. It makes a full pot in roughly 3 minutes. It's also fairly heavy duty so you'll have it for a good long while. Done bother with the double pot ones, though. Those are the ones you see in restaurants and gas stations. You actually hook them up to a water source to keep coffee making rapid fire. Then again...if you REALLY drink a lot of coffee..well...

One other thing: people love those keurig coffee makers. If that's your style, go for it. It's convenient if you want single cups at a time. I just think it waters it down too much. I've tried every pod known to man, it seems like, and they all just seem too weak. Again: personal preference.

Keurigs are awesome! Just don't get the 2.0 version or you'll be stuck with using only approved k-cups.

Have you ever tried this one? [IMG]
Set the Keurig to brew the smallest cup size (4 oz), as that will make it stronger, also.

Tassimo is the Betamax of single serve coffee makers. Threw mine out the window when they lost Starrbucks rights. Pitty you can only get shit coffee for them now, it is a superior machine to the kuerig.

Tassimo is great but you have to get your coffee at Amazon because they have all the European brands that are good. Nespresso is great but very expensive. Keurig sucks.
