My buddy gave me this last night and I started reading it

I have a couple of signed first editions in my book collection.
...and I made this for beatlejews (its legit and its currently getting a nicer frame)...
Sirens of Titan
God Bless You Mr. Rosewater
Just don't read em back to back or you'll go nuts
Kept me sane all through high school.
I'll trade you some premium kielbasa for that
Kurt was the man
I started Vonnegut in this order and I thought it was a perfect way of mapping his universe...
Breakfast of Champions
God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater
Its not for sale, sorry.
That was required reading for high school freshmen.
I heard a great interview on the Diane Rehm show with his son. Really interesting characters those two.
SO not the perfect way but whatevs
It was for me, so that's all that matters I suppose.
I took an English course in college about Vonnegut. On the first day the prof said we are going to read Vonnegut but for only half the course. You won't be able to take him for the entire semester he will drive you crazy. And he was right after eight weeks I had had enough. Thank you Philip Roth.
You studied Roth after Vonnegut? I've never been a fan of Roth, but I know he's striking to a lot of people.
After I read "Breakfast of Champions", I read his stuff back to back for a few months afterwards.
yep and a couple others I can't remember
what I do remember was being glad Vonnegut was over...I think we read six or seven in a row...really depressing
I understand that.
I only briefly attended college after high school. I was in a Literature course that went towards my college credits when I was in high school, but we studied many different authors.
My only immersion into particular ones were strictly autodidact.
All I read so far was Harrison Bergeron, on my friend's recommendation
It was awesome and I can't wait to read more
