    Waiting for the launch date
Riding to the music store and flipping thru selections to make sure you got the best album for your $16.99, van halen or a classic stones album for example
Riding your bike home, putting it on your turntable and studying the album cover while you listened to the whole thing

I totally miss that experience especially now that you just download stuff. There tended to be drama right up to the counter of the store as to what I was gonna buy, try to finish the Zepplin collection or take a chance on a new band like the hooters because you liked one song a lot.

Every Friday night the music shop in high school was a go to stop

You were flipping through music in a record store on a Friday night during high school? :worried:

Dude I grew up in the woods of Connecticut and there was nothing to do. Even getting to a store was a big deal where I lived

I was more of the cassette/CD generation, but yeah , I do.

The whole concept is foreign to my son. I loved scouring the used section for an obscure Pink Floyd or odd Zebra or UFO tape/CD

Fair enough. Hey man, for the record, when I was in high school I made a weekend out of a tub of generic vaseline and my sisters Victoria Secret catalogs.

Or requesting a song and then waiting for an hour with your finger hovering over the record button.
