    Great beginning, solid ending. Middle was kind of boring. Star Trek has always been a little too dialogue heavy, and it just wrecks the momentum. Chekov had absolutely nothing to do in the movie except run around the engine room, and Uhura and Sulu are used sparingly.

    I liked the 2009 reboot more.

    Maybe Star Trek will fare better in another director's hands. Maybe it's just me, but I can definitely picture Chris Pine playing the son of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Episode VII. Maybe JJ Abrams will pull a few actors from Star Trek over to the Star Wars movie
