I'm not huge on basil.
Step 1: Buy jar of pizza sauce
Step 2: Ram entire jar up your ass
This sounds about right.
It was my grandma's recipe
Nothing like family traditions
I don't like tomato based pizza sauce.
I make a white sauce and eyeball all of the ingredients.
Heavy Whipping cream
Red Pepper Flakes
Put all of that in a bowl and mix with a spoon.
It's very versatile you can add or subtract ingredients. Oregano though is kind of a must, really gives it that pizza flavor.
that's the one I use
They don't sell jars of pizza sauce in Ireland.
Yes... Order a can of these.
Season to taste with S&P and your done.
In ALL of Ireland ... no pizza sauce? (I never looked while I was there)
Link contains "the best" and "easy."
Nothing like grandma's ass gravy.
Just shitty wannabe stuff.
I know I could make better
Grow 15-20 stalks of your own paste tomatoes
Harvest when ripe - scald -peel and cook to consistency and use this seasoning pack .
We're off on the wrong foot with the basil deal
Take a can of drained San Marzano Italian whole tomatoes. Add salt, pepper, oregano and some crushed garlic. Puree until slightly chunky with food processor. Put on pizza (lightly) and top with quality mozzarella.
DO NOT PRECOOK SAUCE! It will cook enough in the oven as the pizza cooks.
A lot of good places use straight up San Marzano tomato, straight out of the can, no seasoning even needed.
