It's like, I'm just driving along in the mountains and I'll pass a sign, "elevation 7,000 feet". What, am I gonna suddenly pull over and make some macaroni and cheese or sumptin????

I frequently see people taking pictures while standing next to elevation or mountain pass signs.

So, I've got this thing with changing altitudes. Be it in a plane or driving through the mountains, often times I'll get an unexplainable hard-on, like a fourth grade in-class boner. It began happening so regularly that I had to look it up. Has something to do with rarified air, lower atmospheric pressure, and low level vibrations of the craft - very scientific stuff.

So to answer your question, yes, I do take note of the elevation when I see it.

Once witnessed a huge lightning storm at 7,500 feet, it was fucking brilliant.
