Saw it back near the end of football season (which is the best time to watch it). Expected it to suck but I actually got quite a few laughs out of it. It's not Blazing Saddles or Animal House but it's worth the hour and a half investment. I can't actually remember any other Andy Dick movies I've liked or any of his TV shows that I've actually watched, but he's good in it as the unhinged whackadoodle coach.
I just watched the trailer and I gotta say, it don't look bad. Carolla's actually in this as one half of the announcing team. It's in the "maybe" pile.
You were right, knu. Thanks, man! Chuck summed up my thoughts exactly. I think I got like 3-4 explosive laughs out of it, and the beginning of the movie is like "WTF?!?", in a good way, as you get acclimated to Dick's character. But it's not a good movie by any stretch; it's cliched and every other character except for Dick's is one-dimensional and unfunny and just there to keep the story moving. But Andy makes it a worthwhile watch. I never thought I'd say that! Oh, and Artie's daughter, Debra Wilson, has a funny-silly little cameo in it. That should be mentioned. I'm almost feeling brave enough to give "Anchorman" a try. Any other overlooked comedic gems out there? And how does "Division III: Football's Finest" stack up against "Dirty Work" and "Beer League"? Are either/both of those worth watching? LET'S GET FUNNY!!!
