I've seen areola tv on Sunday night Skinemax
Yet another stellar Dudley thread...
It's only available in very limited markets
seems like a cool concept
I have it in my market (Boston). I signed up for the free trial and now I pay $8 month. I can also record shows with the personal DVR option included. It is all broadcast TV, but I get a couple of cool movie channels (probably equivalent to Encore) and I can watch it on any device. I can't get any other markets other than my home market
so it primarily has local channels and old shit movies?
Does it work with Chromecast?
It is. But these are local channels not necessarily offered on cable or satellite. I never saw most of these on my cable system.
Yeah, I'm gonna pay $8 a month for local channels.
"Breakfast at Tiffany's" is on in a few minutes, on a channel called "Movies! Movies!"
I don't even watch my local channels now with cable. Fuck off, Booger!
I can watch them at work when it is slow.
We have cable at the store and the internet.
I like my local channels because I have only lived here for a few years. It's still a bit of a novelty to me. I grew up in the flattest region ever; even now I will drive down a highway here and see mountains and think it is a big deal.
