    I've done it a few times. After a while it becomes more of a pain in the ass to keep updated drivers when the so self updates. Like the above fella, you'll eventually yearn for that start button.

    But then again I have a think pad that dual boots bell labs plan 9 and arch Linux. Nerd to the sideways 8.
