Talk about raping a holiday... stores and malls have been shoving X-Mas up its consumers ass weeks before Halloween..

I truly expect that next year we will see x-mas crap around Labor Day

Shit I had to buy some cables at Frys electronics last Friday and mother fuckers had x-mas music blasting so loud it was almost vomit inducing..

and every inch of that fucking store had x-mas this or x-mas that

retailers have truly killed off x-mas...

    fucking dicks

I don't go to stores or malls.

    I don't have TV.

If it wasn't for some asshole's Xmas-themed avatar on here, I would be completely unaware of it.

    And yes, retailers ruin everything.

Try having a three year old and everywhere you go they've got santa and some xmas shit they're marketing to toddlers, I need to have "No" on endless loop.

At least you know how to say "no", as opposed to most of the parents I see.

I've been sick of X-mas for at least the past 7-8 years. I'm over it!
    It's just not fun anymore.

Costco had christmas decorations out before Halloween was even here yet. :pissed:

My wife's sister and her husband are like that, they didn't want their little shit to ever hear the self esteem killing word "no", it got so ridiculous we haven't seen them in over two years. The little prick will probably shoot up a school when he gets older and finds out that life isn't Disneyland

Actually a few have kept their Xmas avatars up all year. No point in them changing it now, ha.

Exactly and they had the Halloween candy and costumes right next to the Xmas shit so that the kids would start whining about wanting it.

there are very few things in my life that bring me even a glimmer of joy anymore, and putting up seasonal decorations is one of them. i put up my halloween decorations in september, but begrudgingly. i forced myself hoping it would bring some sort of nostalgic happiness. i actually hated having them up. but when november 1st came around i took down the halloween decorations and put up the xmas ones the same day. and i've even been playing xmas music since they've been up. there's just something about xmas decorations and music that make things a little more bearable when you hate life and everything about it (for me, at least). also, i put them up early because i A) don't have any thanksgiving decorations, and B) i hate putting all that work into putting decorations up only to take them down so soon. i'm not one of those people that keep up decorations months after xmas has passed. in the past i would take them down january 2nd. but now that i'm with my b/f, he likes to keep them up until the end of january.
