Fighting talk: Mayweather and Pacquiao can now enjoy some fighting talk over the phone
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao edged closer to their $300million super fight when they exchanged phone numbers on Tuesday night.

The pair, two of boxing's biggest names, were both attending a Miami Heat's basketball match, where they were pictured talking at courtside.

Pictures from the arena show that the pair shook hands after a short discussion.

Pacquiao confirmed afterwards that he was exchanging phone numbers with Mayweather, declaring they will remain in touch as they negotiate a deal for the fight.
The Filipino said at the game: "He gave his number to me and said we will communicate with each other."

The pair both watched as Miami took on Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday evening - and stadium officials saw the opportunity to get involved in their much-talked about rivalry.

that he was keen for the historic fightto go ahead, which he believes will be the "biggest fight in boxing history".

He told the Hollywood Reporter: "I've been waiting for the last four years.

“There’s no reason that he will not fight.

"He has to sign the contract and the fight will be on.”

However, Pacquiao has set a date of May 30 with Amir Khan, as the Bolton boxer agreed with his friend Pacquaio to make alternative plans.

As much as I hate Mayweather, Pac Man will lose a decision in what will be a boring fight.

I'm bitter that this fight couldn't have happened in their primes.
    Could have been incredible

This obviously doesn't mean that this fight is a certainty. Mayweather's been dodging him for years and most likely will continue to.

    Misleading headline.

The fights going to happen. Heard Pac on the Carolla show the other day.
    They're hammering out the details

    Do you follow boxing?

They've been "hammering out the details" for years.

Get back to me when the contract is signed around.

I do and I get your skepticism, but I really think this time's different.
This whole thing has been a strategic play by Mayweather. Wait long enough to NOT take on Pacman in his prime,
but not so long that he misses the giant payday because no one wants to see two seniors slug it out.
The time is now, or nobody's going to care.
    And Money knows this.

this.... it is too late for this fight... a few years ago Pac Man would have destroyed him and then fucked him in the ass with Justin Bieber's head

Fair enough. Money's been dodging Pac for years, and I'm sure he'll continue to. He doesn't want his record tarnished.

    The headline still seems premature.

    That is all.

I'd love to see the fight, but I think Al Hayman (the new Don King) won't let it happen.

Why would he not be for it?
Do you have any idea how much he'll make off this fight??

Of course I'd be excited. Pacman's fighting Kahn first though? He might not get out of that one to even get mayweather. Either way, it'll be an event

Idk why they've been avoiding this fight, other than maybe they're scared Mayweather may lose.

Mayweather has been ducking Pac for YEARS. And Mayweather is the kind of being a bitch ass pussy while claiming his hands are tied. It's been blamed on Arum, Haymon, HBO/Showtime, Pac's management, Pacman and tons of other stuff. It comes down to one thing - Floyd is a bitch. He puts up tons of obstacles for any opponent... a catch weight for Canelo... making Maidana use a different kind of glove, and on and on.

Pac is the one guy that has a real chance of beating Floyd's ass, and he has been playing bitch with him for YEARS. Even making him agree to random blood tests and everything else. Pac has agreed to pretty much all of Floyd's requests over the years, and lately has been going around calling out Floyd. Floyd knows Pac could beat him and he prefers his "0" to being a man and not bitching out.

Unfortunately Pac is getting old and it won't be the same fight it was before.

The post above about Pac maybe not beating Khan - da fuq? Are you kidding? Khan will get beaten like a red headed stepchild. The man's chin is made of glass and Pac's fists are made of iron - he stands zero chance.
