Will Howie invite Dave Berg on the show to promote the book?

'Behind the Curtain: An Insider’s View of Jay Leno’s Tonight Show' by Dave Berg

    https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/...-in-new-behind-the-scenes-book-230826554.html

Howard Stern once made Leno so angry the host walked off the set. During a 1995 appearance on The Tonight Show, Stern hid two scantily clad porn stars in his dressing room, then brought them on air, where he asked them to kiss each other for "the first Tonight Show lesbian kiss," Berg writes. He later spanked another one on air, and the entire appearance earned the show a negative review in the Chicago Tribune. "We … learned a lesson … never trust Howard Stern," Berg writes.

Is Jay morphing into Eric the Actor?

I was watching that show... Jay was legitimately enraged - no theatrics. And that's when he decided to strike back by stealing SJ, one of Stern's most entertaining and inexpensive meal tickets. Despite his rants about Leno, Wiggy brought it all on himself by trying to bully and disrespect someone who realized that much of Stern's creativity was externally derived (in this case fearless John asking the questions Jackie put in his mouth) and the best revenge was to steal it away. Howchie got what he deserved. Yeah, I'll read the book when I can get my hands on an epub version fersure.

The Tonight show isn't live, so I don't get how it matters what Howard did. They can cut his whole segment if they wanted.

He is one strange man: If you have heard his stand-up from the 1980s, it was actually pretty dirty, aware and very funny. Somewhere along the line, he seems to have become a blank slate: he really doesn't seem to have much going on besides that dopey show and his car collection.

I didn't like him but he went out on top.

Stern can only dream of what might have been with his career.

    I'll read it for sure.

I always wanted to learn more about Leno, so after reading Leading with My Chin and The War for Late Night, watching the Late Shift movie and listening to the few podcast interviews he's done, all I've really learned is Jay is either intensely private or extremely milquetoast.

He seems like one of the few celebrities who are normal. If he didn't change his style for network tv, he wouldn't have that car collection.

No chess? Doodling? Photography? Calligraphy? How about kittens?

Leno has a real millionaire's hobby, a warehouse sized garage with millions of dollars in expensive cars. He routinely drives cars I can only dream about and has several full-time mechanics working to keep them running. In discussing his collection on Top Gear, he remarked "Now who wouldn't do that if they could?".

I know one millionaire that wouldn't. He'd rather invest in closets.
