I've been hit twice in about 6 weeks. It's been frustrating to frequently change card numbers. I've been trying all morning to figure out where it's coming from, so I researched Netflix and found this info (below and attached). Wondering if anyone with a Netflix account has been hit recently?

"Reports say Netflix and Uber credentials are now the sought-after personally identifiable information (PII) in the Deep Web and underground markets, perhaps even more than stolen credit card details. It’s not difficult to see why: For US$1, anyone interested can get hold of the details tied to a stolen personal credit card. As two of the latest entrants to the black market, meanwhile, a stolen Netflix account costs US$5 while a hacked Uber account sells for US$4.

That Netflix and Uber accounts are becoming more popular and possibly even more profitable than credit card information may be a case of the law of supply and demand. On the one hand, we have an overabundance of stolen credit card details, the demand for which may have gone down given the security measures banks and financial institutions put in place to prevent credit card fraud. On the other, services like Netflix and Uber are growing their user bases—Netflix boasts 75 million members while Uber has around 70,000 active users in San Francisco alone as of December 2014 with relatively fewer players in the Deep Web and various underground markets exploiting them. Increased demand for these is thus pushing their prices up."

I've had several problems with debit cards because for whatever reason supermarkets are vulnerable to people setting up skimming devices. Since I stopped using my debit cards other than to get cash at an ATM I haven't had a single issue.

I just realized that my post doesn't make much sense. I mentioned the skimming devices at grocery stores because that's where the fraud has always taken place. Don't listen to me. I'm just a dumb reggie.

Because I use my credit cards at the grocery stores now and I don't have an issue. My problems happened when I was a debit card using faggot like you.

I know a girl who works for the fraud department at a bank. She says cover up the key board when punching in your numbers with an ATM card. Even at a bank.

Has the universe always conspired against you: ailments, chemical alergies, etc. or is this all recent year stuff?

I did . I I live in Ma. And got a bunch of charges for Starbuksh , liquor locker and some Mexican joint out in California. They racked up over $500 in one night before I shut them down . They went to town at liquor locker . I was tempted to call the store to have them ready for them incase they came back again .

Those scores don't really mean shit. Go to myfico.com and pay like $40 to get all versions of your FICO scores (auto, mortgage, credit card) plus complete credit reports from all three bureaus. :grad:

I have a few other ideas where it's coming from, but since the Netflix thing is very recent news, I'm running with that idea first. I have considered the card skimmer at the store or gas station though. Charges have all been web based, not local though.

2 personal cards and one business card hacked all within the past 6 months. What a hassle!

But when you love titty bars like I do, what's a brother gonna do?
