clarity isn't great, but it has its advantages.
yes, free google voice with obitalk.
and call quality is just as good as it was through Comcast.
we have a device that connects to the internet router; it has a standard telephone port, thereby enabling use for landline & chord-less phones.
w/ our programme, we have a toll-free-number in mainland china & we have unlimited calls to all of asia & western europe.
this is heaps better than Bell.
My bff does, works great.
It's a magic jack.
i suppose the quality of the service largely depends upon the internet service,
unfortunately for us, there isn't a premium internet provider for our location. because we've based between two villages, we don't have DSL or cable internet. we have a highly elevated dish that receives internet from a nearby tower.
I have Ooma. I plugged it in to the homes phone jack and disconnected the phone company's wires outsine. This way all the phones ring
I have a regular home phone line that I never use. I just use the cell.
here in ontario, majik jack is one provider for this service.
our service is provided by iTalkBB.
I have Magic Jack, it works great.
I'm in ontario too bro.

but i don't live in or around the toronto area.
i live in southern ontario.
19 bucks a year
which they now have a magic jack that plugs directly into your router
the one i have plugs into a computer
I still have a landline and a cell as well. But I just went and checked out Ooma's site and this looks good!
How long have you used it?
Yeah like 11 years ago.
