I'm taking my six year old to sign up for Tiger scouts. I know next to nothing about such things. What goes on and what's my participation level? Am I going to have to go camping? Any hot and horny den milfs?

If you want your son to go camping, you will have to go also if he is at Tiger Cub age. Scouts have a rule against non-family adults sleeping in a tent with kids. Otherwise you don't have to do really anything other than drop the kid off for an hour. The den leader will have an activity for them to do, which will not require your participation at all. If they do a field trip you'll probably have to go, because the camping rule also applies to giving rides to non-related kids.

I don't think there is too big of a parental obligation in Cub Scouts other than dropping them off and picking them up for meetings. I think camping at that level pretty much entails setting up tents in someones back yard. If he keeps going into Boy Scouts they might want a little more out of you.

Cub scouts break the kids up into grade level dens within the pack. Tiger Cubs are first graders. Lions (not everywhere - it's a new program) are kindergarteners, I think older kids are either Bears or Wolves. Then Weblos. Then Boy Scouts.

I was in Cub Scouts and it fucking sucked. I got picked on by asshole kids who obviously had asshole parents. Other than the Pinewood Derby and camping it wasnt fun.

I've got two sons and they aren't in the Scouts cause I'd rather them not being around grown men that dress like little boys that are in the Scouts. But that's just me.

    They don't play soccer either.

No, I won't allow my kids to be picked on. I'm raising them to be the bullies.

Pinewood Derby is still cool with todays kids ? It was fun back then. Of course kids love camping still. I think.

I really enjoyed scouting. I wish I had been more serious about it and possibly made Eagle Scout. IMO there are three things every boy should do, scouting, at least one season of football, and at least one season of wrestling.

My Dad was an eagle scout but never wanted us to join scouts. Think he hated all the God loving shit that goes into it.

All of my troops were full of Mormons. All of our major meetings were held at Mormon churches. I don't remember God really being crammed down out throats. :dontknow:
