    Just wondering. I'm listening to the original Woodstock festival at work today, made me wonder if anyone witnessed anything historical.

    I was lucky enough to be at game 6 of the 2003 world series to watch Josh Beckett and my usually pathetic Marlins beat the evil Yankees.

    It was amazing.....and expensive.

    Saw Barry Bonds hit the record home run.
    Lived through the '89 earthquake in SF.

    I was on west 72nd street in front of The Dakota building the weekend after John Lennon was shot. There is an image of the scene in the Man in the Mirror video.

    I saw Reggie Jackson hit his 500th homer.

    I saw the Kings hoist a banner and get their first Stanley Cup rings (almost touched the cup as it was carried out to the ice).

    I saw the Lakers hoist an NBA championship banner and get their rings. (I can't remember the year but, it was at Staples)

    Do those count as historic events?

    I saw Black Sabbath with all the original members at Ozzfest 2006, at that same show I got to see Iron Maiden pelted with eggs. So no, nothing historic for me.
