Jobbey is trying to be the new liason to the stern forum.
No. It's been iPod and a new local FM station for me for weeks now.
I haven't had to pullover, listening to the show in at least 18 years.
do u still listen? i stopped in october of last year.
I put some of his older shows or some of his mastertape theatre shows on my ipod but he doesn't make me laugh like he used to, even listening to his old shows I keep imagining him as this tired old man he is now.
Everyday but only in the car. My home radio shit the bed about a year ago and I hate online streaming while I work.
He's turned into a bigger megalomaniac, if that's even possible.
he has become the person he hated in the beginning of his career.
The two main reasons why the show sucks now:
No enemy -- FCC, other morning show hosts, Cheapasano, etc.
No decency line to dance around -- It was SO awesome listening to him straddle that line. "OH SHIT I CAN'T BELIEVE HE SAID THAT! HE'S GONNA BE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!"
Add to that a fuckton of money, getting old, and a hot wife -- shit show.
He's not authentic anymore, or at least I'm not drinking his Kool Aid anymore. I have a tough time listening to anyone, who has what he has, and yet complains constantly.
Listening to his old shows he was never authentic. It was all an act.
Also I don't begrudge him for making the money he makes but when he talks about a door to his bedroom costing 35,000 and then surprised the audience was amazed really means he lost touch.
Also he is such a diva, has his own personal elevator that nobody else is to use (until he is done with sirius), making people clear the halls as he walks through, etc, etc.
Agreed but I was young and naive when I started listening to him
it took me a long time to realize i hated the show and it took even longer to stop listening
it made me sad cuz he sucks so fuckin bad now - its ridiculious
howard did turn me on to bubba - and now bubbas my go to radio guy
Not since 2007 but...I did listen to Ozzie's bone yard over the weekend with a friend who has XM in his truck and it was pretty damn good. I miss the good ol days off satellite radio when shit was so god damn funny.
Listening to the old shows with Artie or Jackie make you realize how much another person is needed. Howard is wrong to think the show is good without another person in there who keeps it real.
I have trouble staying awake when I catch up listening at home. I think it might be to dangerous to drive and listen to the show in its current state.
