If you did, you just walked by $100,000 paintings being sold for $60.

$420 in 7 hours is $60/hr, not too bad. More than a Walmart worker makes for an entire week.

I knew this woman who married an old money guy. It was the kind of old money that was running out and the dude didn't have any kind of prospects so his mansion had stuff like plumbing problems that went unresolved for long periods of time.

Anyways, she wanted to make some extra cash so she took some art classes. Then started painting.

She later complained that she couldn't sell her "art" for the cost of the paints and canvasses and brushes.

It looked like total shit a kid did with fingerpainting. Hilarious, though.

    Support art!

Look what happened to not supporting Hitler's art!

World war, genocide, destroyed cities! That's what!

it looks like the washington square/greenwich village art show. i paint (although i seem to be going through a dry spell) and alot of the work is better than the shit that sells for millions of dollars. damian hirst should be shot, julian scnabel, banksy....all pure crap.

i've never exhibited in a show....i don't think i could take the rejection.

JERKS CHARGE TO SEE BANKSY PIECE

A couple of savvy Brooklyn street entrepreneurs have started charging $20 a pop to take pictures of a new Banksy art piece of a stenciled beaver. The amateur curators used cardboard to shield the well-known British graffiti artist’s piece in their East New York neighborhood and will remove it only for a price.
“I’m trying to get some bread,” a man said in a video posted on YouTube Thursday. “This is my neighborhood. If you wanna take a picture, it’s gonna cost something.”
Later in the day, a man who called himself a Banksy “fan” stopped by with a hammer and chisel and attempted to remove the art from the wall, *according to the Web site Animal New York.
The street artist is currently doing a monthlong “residency” in New York, where he’s putting up his work on various public walls around town.
Banksy’s artwork was being guarded by four men early Friday morning.

You are aware that those paintings they bought can now be auctioned for likely $100,000?

Not sure $100K, but yes, I'm aware of what Banksy could bring in. But there are a lot of NYC artists doing this exact same thing every day.
