I apologize if this has already been discussed :beerplz:

Serial is a new podcast from the creators of This American Life, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Serial will follow one story - a true story - over the course of a whole season. We'll follow the plot and characters wherever they take us and we won’t know what happens at the end of the story until we get there, not long before you get there with us. Each week we'll bring you the latest chapter, so it's important to listen in order, starting with Episode1.

Love it. It's based on one murder not a serial killer.

I think Adnan is very likely the killer, but who knows ?:dontknow: He seems awfully forgiving of the people/circumstances that put him in prison. If I was wrongfully convicted of murder I would be an extremely bitter SOB.

Agreed! I think there are too many holes in the story, and his friend (sorry name escapes me) DID know where Hae's car was! I waffled also, and I realize a lot of the evidence hinges on one guy, but I truly think now that they got the right guy...

I wanted to thank you for starting this thread.
Started listening to this podcast while coming down here on the train to my in-laws for Thanksgiving.
Listened to several episodes last night & 2 today.
Only have 4 more to go.

Awesome job by the writers, researchers, producers, etc.
    Music is really good, too.

This Sarah Koenig is going to be huge in the network news business very soon.
Outstanding reporting + compelling crime story.

I would have never bothered with this podcast if not for this thread.

Pretty sure Jay is a police informant and he cut a deal to implicate Adnan. There is no way Hae was murdered at 3:16 like they said and there's all kinds of holes in Jay story.

The one thing that bugs me that has never been explained is why Jay carried around Adnans cell phone, especially if they were just acquaintances.

I don't want to ruin this for anyone else but I have a real problem with Jay carrying around Adnan's cell. I have a theory but I don't want to run with it til I hear the next episode.

Best non-comedy podcast I've ever heard.

I love this podcast! The case is very murky, or at least that's how it is being presented from week to week. IMHO, as of right now, Adnan is guilty. Sure, the state of MD's case was extremely weak, both trials, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Adnan has no solid alibi and he can't remember the day of murder. But, most importantly, Jay knew where Hae's car was. That's game, set, match.

I disagree with the State's timeline of Hae's death, there's no way it happened within a 21 minute window of her leaving Woodlawn HS at a Best Buy parking lot, in broad day mind you! There's a lot up in the air but I just can't seen anyone but Adnan killing Hae. The only plausible explanation is that she ran into a LEGIT serial killer somewhere in that window of time. But then how would Jay know where her car was?
