Who has done their homework on this, and will let me cheat off their paper?
Primary use will be for PS4
Secondary use will be for streaming content.
I don't think I'm going to bother with cable TV anymore.
Bozo the Trump.
1080p if you aren't getting cable anymore.
I hear not much is being filmed in 4K so I would not waste any extra om it at this time.
I don't think they make 1080p tvs anymore.
Biggest 1080 at Best Buy is a 60" tv.
Getting rid of the old sony trinatron Dave?
You can buy a 4K all you want, but if your Comcast/DirecTV is only transmitting in 1080, then you're basically setting money on fire- you'd be watching down-converted 1080 on a 4K set.
If you pay extra and can handle the size of the files all the streaming sites offer some 4k programming. So I'd get the 4k if you have a few extra bux a month and a fast Internet connection
Go with 1080p there is not much broadcast or available in 4k
Head over to "avs forum's" and look up Scott Wilkinson. He's a guru on this subject. I believe he'll say it similar to 3d, it's cool, but there's no content.
Don't waste money on 4K until all the standards are ratified. The specs the TVs are built on today are not standard. Enjoy the low prices of 1080p capable TVs for ~3 more years.
Samsung or LG?
You've obviously mistaken us for
4K. Got one....get it...
Vizio 65". Mine was on sale....right at under $1000.
Actually DTV has (3) 4K channels, but there are other reasons not to waste money on 4K.
Why are you gonna waste all that money on a tv when you know those thugs down the hall are just gonna jack it from you?
