Is it as good as they're claiming?
Did you cry?
No spoilers, please!
I don't go to the movies since they started letting colored people in
Blaeks don't be likin' no movies bout no space travel unless it's Madea Goes to Jail on the Moon.
Did I cry? No. And I didn't let the guy in front of me blow me either. Why? Cause I'm not gay
Dawg...U know what to do, U know what to do.
I just saw it in IMAX.
You had better be prepared for a major emotional commitment. The movie is like 3 movies of information jammed into one movie almost 3 hours long. It's nearly nonstop action.
It is emotionally wrenching, and you have to see it in a theater. I'll admit that I cried (just a little) three different times, and I could've let go two more times. I had to wipe my eyes at the end.
I've never seen anything like it. I am worn out.
By the way, the movie is loaded with spoilers. It's hard to talk about it at all without giving away a key plot twist.
Saw it Friday. Great visuals but the plot was severely lacking. Could have been 30 min shorter too. Read up on space time & relativity before you go see it.
I thought it was so-so. Doesn't really live up to the hype. It's worth seeing in the theater, but doubt I'd pay to watch it again.
It's yet another dogshit film that rips off 2001 Space Odyssey and hipster morons will think it's the greatest film ever. It was not even close to being as good as Alien, 2001, Event Horizon, and a dozen other space travel films. But the idiots in America will think it's the next Godfather or Alien.
I am not a van of you username.
Fuck off dildo. Besides the lame crack at "stupid America" your opinion is so retarded. It's a good flick. No one yet has said it's the greatest movie ever. But it's damn entertaining. You're probably one of those fags who's "too smart" to like a comic book movie.
I figure one of the spoilers is that the chick is such a cunt in the trailer that she was sent as a warning to aliens to stay away from Earth.......
It's not a film that will hold up even a few months from now. Let alone decades like 2001 and Alien. It's another flash-in-the-pan heavily marketed film. It's not an intellectual film nor does it bring new special effects to the table like The Thing or The Matrix did. What is even good about this film? What separates this film from the other mediocre sci-fi films of the last decade?
This is another film like Prometheus, Gravity, or Elysium. Tons of marketing. Little substance. I was not impressed. A popcorn flick for the easily entertained. The stupid individuals who can't critically think and need something easy to digest.
Way too long... Total science geekhead movie.. i saw it too in IMAX..Not worth 20 bucks a ticket...A guy in the parking lot was selling the blue ray dvd for 5 bucks...Ending was bullshhit...People said it will win academy awards.. probably right...
Saw it at a real IMAX. Its not 3d
The space scenes are worth seeing it in Imax but I really can't recommend seeing it in Imax, I would say see it if you like scifi but have a completely empty bladder.
I don't think its for everyone. The story is weak and there are twists but nothing thought provoking. Its the same Nolan "worm hole" plot structure which is interesting but this time it comes off as "Too Many Cooks"....just over done
Also, Ann Hathaways eyeliner kept taking me out of it.
I agree with you except I thought Promethus was probably one of the best scifi films ever. I really dont get the flack that film gets. Never saw Gravity, though I might see Eylisilum, I loved that other film he did.
Saw it, didn't like it. The emotional components seemed forced and the story is so full of holes that it's just absurd.
I have never heard someone say they loved Promethus that I recall. What did you like about it so much?
