not even the main event, holy shit
PM me the site please . . .
its not that big a secret, they have a twitter account saying all the fights their showing..poor JR got pummled, I guess his win the first time was a lucky punch.
I wish Boxing was more televised as well. Freely that is. On a prime time network . . .
the dollar is king..my dad took me to see an ali fight at the theater closed circuit..that was cutting edge at the time..there was even a movie star there that i saw
More money in Boxing than in the UFC. Purses for all levels of fighters are much higher as well. $20 - 30 million dollar pay days just don't happen in the UFC . . .
UFC. The Universal Fucking Channel? You bet I am. Lots of fucking all day all the time. PORN!!!!!!
Lucky punch...that's hilarious. These guys are well trained fighters.
Looked like Instigatinmofo's asshole after I had to explain to him what "I" is int he GDP formula during one of his retard rants.
I just want to give you guys a really big heads up here, DO NOT VISIT THAT STREAMING SITE IF YOU LIVE IN THE U.S. Remember that thread everyone hated where I tried to get people to write letters about frivolous copyright lawsuits filed by pornographers, that mostly get old ladies and immigrants because actual downloaders just look for open wifi to handle their torrents? Well, the attorneys involved were representing three groups: Pornographers, the band Iced Earth, and the UFC and suing people who go to streaming sites by tracking their IP address. Don't say I didn't warn you, I'll try and find a link to a relevant news story.
And here is a relevant news story - http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/3/13/2868272/ufc-piracy-legal-zuffa-streaming
Partly true. The top 10 boxers make more money then UFC, but the lower tiers make more money in UFC.
Boxing have 1-2 PPV per year that draws huge buys. Usually hispanics fighting. Somehow they have money to spend on PPVs.
The only reason why a couple of boxers can make 40 million a fight is because that some casino are prepared to eat a huge loss to get some high rollers in.
Simple math: A huge PPV have 1-1.5 million buys a 60 dollar each. The PPV providers keep 55%. Then pay 2 boxers 30 million each and you are 20 million dollar loss.
This system will continue just a couple of more years when people gets more educated. Any boxer gets killed in MMA. They are not the best fighters in the world. They are the best boxers.
MMA fighters need to unionise. 20-30% of the revenue goes to the fighters pay. Wrestling is even worse with less then 18%. Brock Lessner was the highest payed UFC fighter and he got 5 million per fight. (thanks to huge PPVs and that he got points)
spend 20 seconds and use a proxy.
BTW. The courts have to stop accepting IP addresses as evidence. 99% of users have DHCP. Each time they log on to the net they get a new IP address. Spoofing IP addresses are also easy.
And since 70%+ of all PCs are infected by virus/malware: what stops people from using a hacked PC as a proxy?
Sure: UFC can sue, but they wont convict anyone.
It's not about convicting people, they send you shakedown letters and leave your suit hanging in the wind. The problem being, if you're Joe Schmo and you work at the gas station, you don't care if they do a credit check or security clearance check on you. If you're considering getting any kind of licensure, it will affect you because you have to disclose ongoing lawsuits, unfortunately.
To be clear, they are ALREADY filing suits through various groups, one of which is CEG TEK who are some of the biggest scumbags on the planet. Also, your arguments are all valid, and I agree with you in principle, but you haven't been keeping up on these cases. Visit dietrolldie.com to learn more about it; it's focused on the porn side of things, but it's the same deal. Until congress passes new copyright legislation, courts don't have to stop accepting IP addresses, they are accepting them and suits are being filed. You're basing that on what you think should happen, and not what is actually happening. Honestly, I'm against stealing copyrighted material so we are somewhat at odds, but the UFC has changed strategies: they used to get these sites taken down, and now they've hit on a new business model where they leave them up and sue everyone who watches the stream, which I think is highly immoral and an abuse of our legal system.
EDIT: Also, I'm not saying you don't know what you are doing, but I can't tell you how many people on these sites who actually were guilty and are trying to get out of it will start with "I was using a proxy, what the hell?". The problem is that because they never actually take these to trial, no experts have had the chance to examine the IP tracking software that they use. I can't tell you with any certainty what they can and can't track.
