An investigation continues in Parker City in Randolph County into a murder-suicide that left two men dead. It’s the first homicide there in two decades, and Indiana State Police said it all centers around a love triangle.

Residents living at the apartment complex where the shootings took place said they are still shaken up by the events.

“I didn’t sleep last night,” said Jan Bradburn.

The incident happened at the Key Kolony Apartments off North Charles Street around 2:30 on Sunday afternoon.

“I heard pop pop pop, pop pop pop,” said Dalon Deboy.

Deboy said he watched the incident unfold.

Investigators said 28-year-old Jonathan Sumwalt went to apartment 16 and shot 31-year-old Michael Refzka when he answered the door. Police said Sumwalt then turned the gun on himself, which Deboy said he witnessed.
