At the Apple Developers conference they just announced a "Revilutionary New Music service".

Sounds like Sirius from 10 years ago.

If Stern had mojo - this is where he's be going next.

It would make sense with all the Apple plugs.

A move like this would just about 100% guarantee that I won't listen to the show anymore. I can't fucking stand Apple and I already spend far too much on entertainment/media so nope. Ain't happening for me.

It's revolutionary if you don't count Spotify, MOG, Google Play, RDio, Pandora, Slacker, Amazon Prime, Rhapsody, IHeartRadio, or Soundcloud.

Apple couldn't be stupid enough to hire him, I'm sure no Apple fan boys are Stern fans.

This is the only "new home" in Howard's future.

Lawsuit. Howard invented using the word "revolution" to describe things that aren't revolutionary.

They introduced a streaming service like Spotify for iOS and Android - $9.99 a month, or $14.99 for up to 6 family members. First three months free.

The live radio portion is free whether you subscribe or not - they hired that popular guy from the BBC to run it.

It's retarded to keep saying Stern is coming to anything related to Apple. It's not happening. Ever.

I can't see it - sounds like it's more geared towards iTunes and music, and a litigious and lazy old guy isn't going to increase subscription revenue.

Don't see it happening. Apple is risk averse, even with the milk-toast, AGT, safe-for-family Stern. And How-chi-min and Buchwald & Associates wont do biz-niz with a company that tells you "here is the contract, on our terms; if you don't like it, fuck off," which is the Apple specialty. Moreover, Howard is such a pain-in-the-ass about promoting anyone's brand but his own that I don't see it. Apple would be buying the guy who has sued everyone under the sun, SIRIUS just being the most famous, and bad mouthed them to boot. Finally, Howard would never ink a deal where he does not get to declare victory and exit if things don't work out.

Seriously, all Howard hating aside, he does not bring anything to the table at this point. His years are long behind him and I just don't see Apple wanting to get locked into a long term deal with that litigious hump and all of the baggage he brings along with him. Apple has done just fine without MFB, Bobo and Robin's news.

I hope you are right, Cap'n, but with all of these :quote: new media :quote: companies literally throwing money at :quote: content :quote: producers like Woody Allen (who says he's never even watched a web-produced series, let alone directed one himself), I can't help but think that Buchwaldo & Co. aren't pressing companies like Apple, Pandora, Google Play, etc., to add a :quote: cutting edge talent :quote: like Howard into the mix...
