Yikes! That is so scary. I had a tractor-trailer do a 360 in front of me once. I nearly shit a brick and he continued on his merry "too fast for road conditions" way.
PA turnpike sucks, especially the NE Extension. Fucking major highway that is 2 lanes each way. You shouldn't be able to charge a toll on a 4lane highway. And the road itself is lousy.
About the accidents, 2 years ago I was driving the PA Trnpk the day after a major snow. The road was just wet, so everyone was pretty much cruising along at 50MPH. I'm in the center lane and all of the sudden, there is like 3" of hard packed snow for about 1/4 mile in my lane. I was scared as shit. Took my foot off the gas and white knuckled the steering wheel until I was through it. That went on for miles, random fucking patches of death makers.
Yeah, I just saw this on CNN. That must suck smelly balls to be stuck in that.
What the ef is a turnpike?
It's like that old joke: why do we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?
A turnpike is a parkway.
cause people drive like douche nozzles. stay the fuck off each others ass and you might just have time to brake fuck nuts
in MA a turnpike is a toll road
I think it all started when a tractor-trailer jackknifed.
Oh please let this be the time Horse&Wig go visit the stable Beff grew up in PA.
I bet they were all in the left lane before the accident. PA drivers are assholes. and the news says the sheriff said it's not because of the weather.
Like they're driving anywhere.
Yeah, it's an accident. There's an 18-wheeler that jack-knifed and is spread across all three lanes. No one can get through and there are several other cars involved so they're probably trying to get first responders there.
If there's a fatality, then the fucking road will be closed. At least that's the law in NJ. It's a crime scene at that point.
Usually I'd agree but given the weather those vapid cunts probably had no other option and we all know Beff has to go to PA as much as possible to brag about her "dream life" to every local news station and family member.
I watched more than one pickup truck cruise downhill on a solid sheet of ice past my home two days ago at about 45mph. There is a big curve at the bottom of the hill.
That is the exact route I take to work daily. Today I felt like going in later so left 20 minutes later than usual. Had I left normal time I'd be elbow deep in that mess.
