I don't know #JD

I'm looking forward to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie fail just because it looks like complete ass and I'd love to see something connected to Michael Bay fail...but I'm sure it'll make a ton of money.
I have yet to see trailers for anything I want to see.
Seems like yet another supernatural "horror" movie relying on tired "disturbing" imagery. The little girl's voice narration doesn't help much. The kids=creepy ship has sailed a long time ago.
It seems that all the supernatural horror movies and thrillers from the past decade have all relied on imagery over substance and atmosphere. There were a couple unsettling moments in Insidious and then it all fell apart and turned into a comedy and then into god knows what. The one with Ethan Hawk as the true crime writer has this laughably generic boogieman and took what could have been an interesting concept and made it pure cheese. There were a bunch of other ones, but they were all forgettable and I can't even remember their names.
There were a couple noteworthy shorts in the first V/H/S, but the second V/H/S was total shit.
There were a few decent ones out of Europe and Korea has been keeping the genre alive with a few great examples, but Hollywood's really been shitting the bed.
Has WWE Pictures put out a decent movie yet? In any genre?
I still want to see Ti West's The Sacrament. It's a Vice meets Jonestown kind of thing. I fucking loved House of the Devil (God damn Jocelin Donahue is hot) and, although I thought that The Innkeepers wasn't scary in the least, I really enjoyed the interaction between Sara Paxton and Pat Healy. I don't like everything that West does, but he's a really talented guy and he has an amazing ability to create and direct truly likable, real characters. A lot of people hated his short (Second Honeymoon) in V/H/S, but I really dug it and it really creeped me out and had me wondering what was going on every step of the way. I didn't see the ending coming at all.
The Expenables 3 will be a little escapist fun.
Planet of the Apes sequel should be good. i liked the first one.
by that i mean the first one with James Franco......all these remakes get so confusing
I'm gonna give that Halle Berry show 'Extant' a try...
