Calls For Texas Independence Surge In Wake Of Brexit Vote
As Britain votes to leave the EU, thousands push for Texas to seize the day

After residents of the UK voted today to leave the European Union, the movement for an independent Texas may be gaining serious momentum, with thousands online calling for a “Texit.”

The largest group agitating for secession is the Texas Nationalist Movement, which has been promoting its own version of Brexit, called Texit, over the past several weeks. The group has taken inspiration from the pro-exit campaign in Britain, noting that the two movements share many of the same principles. Daniel Miller, president of the TNM, told Australian website news.com.au, “The vast majority of the laws, rules and regulations that affect the people of Texas are created by the political class or unelected bureaucrats in Washington” — a sentiment which echoes the arguments made by the British Leave campaign.

Check out the median income per household for these counties. They are all 'poor.' Surprise surprise. It was hard to find one above $30,000.

We've taken in your trash for the past 5 years since we have jobs galore and you don't. It's the last thing you would want to actually happen.

You're right, what was I thinking.

I think we'd be better off with the REPUBLIC of California breaking off the Union.

People are so quick to get rid of us, they forget how dependent they really are on us.

I'm game but we boot out any transplants and we close our borders, fuck em.

Rooting for Texas to secede would have to be predicated on the hope that the other free states would follow, thus creating a new group of 'united states' which would reaffirm their commitment to our Constitutional principles.

There would be no more "emanations of penumbras", "factors of factors of factors" or wholesale abuse of the interstate commerce and general welfare clauses to be used as justification for making the words contained within the Constitution mean anything a person might possibly want them to mean.

That would leave the Northeast, portions of the Midwest and the Coastal Corridor of Faggotry that runs from San Diego up to San Francisco to carry on as the current United States.

And now we're infesting Plano with a shitstorm of our liberal cunts after the morons in Sacramento chased Toyota out of the state. Hope you enjoy that. A lot of them are big fans of unchecked immigration and gun control.

I wonder what Obammy would do if the states started seceding. I don't think he has Lincoln's balls. On that consideration...now's your chance Texas!

No. But states need more power.

The pressure from the federal government on local laws for local issues that we've been seeing in the past years is just obscene!
