US senator from PA, died at 82.
I'm glad that Benedict Arnold's dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aside from the single bullet theory, he was a good man.
He will be missed.
I remember him on Howard and he was boring as fuck.
Shitty Senator too.
the good guys usually are boring. he was one of the good civil servants who apparently took his job seriously and did what he thought was right because he believed it was the right thing to do, and not for political or money gains. we don't seem to be developing appropriate replacements for his kind of politician anymore.
after like 40 years as an elected GOP senator he switched parties. takes some special choice of conscience to realize that the party today is not the party you joined 40 years ago and do something about it. i think most people, after 40 years, would go along as best they can til they retire.
Agreed, but I still hate Joe Liberman.
Lieberman is strange. He didn't leave the dem party; he went independent but is still a democrat. i dont understand his positions: against dont ask dont tell but pro homeland security? for the privacy rights of gay and lesbian in the military but not for private citizens? he's kinda hard to get a handle on because he still considers himself a democrat even if he's not part of the mainline dem party. plus he's an observant (ie. orthodox) jew married to a reform jew?
