Armed robber shot while attempting to rob Waynesboro pharmacy. "WAYNESBORO, Pa. – A robbery suspect is rushed to York Hospital’s trauma unit after he shot while attempting to rob a Waynesboro pharmacy. According to Waynesboro Police Chief James Sourbier, the incident began at about 5:15 p.m. late Monday afternoon. Chief says an armed and masked man walked into the Antietam Pharmacy brandishing a handgun. He threatened an employee and the pharmacist while demanding money and drugs. The suspect was behaving in such an aggressive manner that an employee, fearing for his life and others, drew his personal handgun and fired four rounds at the would be robber. The robber was hit several times. The unidentified suspect was rushed to the Waynesboro Hospital and then subsequently airlifted to York Hospital. There were no pharmacy employees injured and no customers were in the store at the time of the robbery."
