Just got an e-mail from Carolines they are going to have a special 4 gig booking with Artie ...

    http://www.carolines.com/comedian/artie-lange/

I've been to every gig of his at Carolines, but @ $54 a seat they can go fuck off. His manager is trying to use prices from 3 years ago when Artie gave free plugs out on the Stern Show ....That's insulting to fans and frankly to Nick; his seats were only $30 a head....

I never thought I would find the day I would not go see Artie live, but @ $54 a person it's just not worth it...

Can afford, not the issue. His manager and Carolines is charging $54 per seat, or you can get the VIP pkg.'s for $65 or $79.... Those prices are when he was on top of the world in 2008/2009. Plus Carolines has a 2 drink min....

Nick's seats were like $30 a week ago.

lol.....i know it sucks but what the fuck you gonna do?.....fuckit....once a product passes that line of value/affordability you just stop buying it.

meanwhile...all 4 shows will be sold out by people whose line hasn't been crossed yet.

i havent been to a toronto maple leaf game in years.....the most expensive tickets in the entire nhl.sold out every fucking night....nosebleeds are over a $100 for 1 ticket not even a pair.

    fuck...that.

"Lange was a beloved regular on “The Howard Stern Show†for
five years and during that time his memoir, Too Fat To Fish became a New York Times bestseller."

What a waste of money. Can they even see the puck from up there ?

I know what you mean about ticket prices. It seems things were a lot more affordable to the common man back in the 80s and 90s. Nowadays, on a very rare occasion I may spend more than I think is fair to see something, but that is only when I feel very strongly about it, something that really means a lot to me. The days of going to a concert every 2 or 3 weeks is over. But I guess for some people who make a lot more money than I do it's no big deal.

They know they can get that much for Artie, so that's what they charge. It's been a while since he's been out doing shows so they know people are excited to see him again. People love Artie. I personally wouldn't pay that much to see just him, but if you put him with Attell I might. But in that case the ticket would probably be a lot more.
