I'm happy that the guy's had yet another shot in the business--it takes a lot of luck, talent, or at least divine intervention to stay in the entertainment industry for as long as he has and keep coming back for more. I realize it's just a Showtime program, but it sends a message out to execs that he's clean. In the end, Chris Farley lost a lot of movie work because he couldn't get insured. Kinison had to kowtow to the man in his last few days in order to get a foot back in the door. No shame involved in it, when you've got a history of substance abuse. And how about that getting Tebow to possibly come in on the show? And Donald Trump (though I don't know what the fuck he'd be on a sports show for--insanely entertaining interviewee, however)?
