    Rejoice!

Artie was again on Gilbert's podcast, this time recorded live before an audience for the New York Comedy Festival, a couple weeks ago. The audio was just posted today.

Solid, funny episode. Some interesting Howard talk. Gilbert finally - if briefly - talks about his banning and what happened backstage at AGT.

I hated it. It was probably the worst Gilbert episode yet. A lot of it seemed too forced. Artie is way better in the studio than live. When Gilbert and Artie go on for too long about certain bits, the funny gets lost.

As for people critical of the repetitive stories, I have this to say: Howard's impressions of Ted Kennedy and his parents, Mama Lakaboobooday, the vietnam bullshit, arguing with tapes, etc.

Apparently, Gilbert's wife, Dara, called Gary and asked why he was banned. Gary stuttered a response saying "He's not banned, we just don't have comics on the show".

Why would you have comics on the Howard Stern Show? Gilbert might ruin their record-shattering streak of non-funnyness

I can just picture Gilbert & Gunkfried staring at each other in that hall

Artie's podcast has a bit more meat on the bones. I don't know if he just shoots the breeze with Dan, or talks about the Apatow/Holmes shoot, or sets up the live podcast with Gilbert, or what, but his version of this clocks in at 1:55:48.

It was pretty bad compared to their last one together. Artie even slams himself by saying that they were promoting it for weeks , and only 80 people showed up to their taping of it at Caroline's.
Artie's jokes seemed so forced ..oh and he told the story again where he did blow in his pig costume ..

I guess you didn't listen to last time Gilbert was on. It was bizarre.

Howard did his now default hour long machine gun interview with Gilbert. Gilbert was treated as if he didn't have a history, let alone an important history, with the HSS.

That's why I would rather Artie or KC or SJ or Jackie or any of the HowardTV guys come back on because they would get the same boring white wash treatment.

That interaction or lack thereof has to open the eyes of former fans of the HSS.
The deep history that Gilbert brought to the show and the wildly funny times that he was a part of when he was on the air are a thing of the past. All I remember was that each and every time Gilbert was coming on it was "must listen radio".
Wiggy has been neutered and the days of the funny have long left the building.
I can't wait to see Wiggy's numbers continue to sink to new lows
