Just heard Artie's podcast response to Howard saying "he's hurt". I love Artie even more now. I read what he wrote and it's very, very different from hearing him say the words. He came across the best I've ever heard him. Not crying or picking a fight, not angry either. Just honest and raw and still respected Howard and the people there. He made EVERY point so many fans have been thinking without coming across bitter. Howchie owes him a call or to have him in.

Listening to it now. It seems to sum up how a lot of Stern fans -- or former fans -- feel.

That said, a lot of people are like that -- they can turn on and off relationships like a light switch. Howard was done with Artie, so he moves on. It's may be cold, but lots of people are like that. "Getting Things Done" confirms the practice of cutting one's losses/baggage.

I feel for Artie for no other reason than he seems like a decent guy. Obviously he no longer fits in Howard's world and that's OK. It ran it's course and Artie knows that he is to blame for his departure. Having said that, Howard could have at least called him and severed things that way. I think he owed Artie that. Funny though, like Gilbert, I don't think Artie could survive working on Howard's show these days. Could Artie sit by and not call Howard out on this lifestyle change?

I like Artie too, but his vocal fry here is just way over the top. I think he does it most when pressing to be poignant. I can't imagine he's does every podcast like this.

Howchie would be hurt by a stiff wind. He has surrounded himself for years with ass-kissers that tell him everything he does is brilliant. No wonder he can't handle the slightest bit of "negativity."

What I got out of his 45 min response- Artie is very upset that they haven't had him on the show or at least met with him as friends. Not a single phone call in 6 years.

This was the only Lardie podcast that I've heard. It was great. It's a must listen to any fan of the Artie Howard Stern years. But.... I just can't imagine his other shows are anywhere near as good when they're not talking about the show.

Because your response is so extraordinarily special that it deserves its own thread.

I'm listening to the 9-22-2015 show where Artie was supposed to take calls from fans about the Stern stuff. So far he took two uninteresting calls, but then he got Hanzi on the phone. Hanzi is going off on Howard, wishing him death and divorce. Claims Howard blocked money Artie sent him.

I feel bad for him after hearing this call. He's not putting this on. His life can't be fun. I've also turned into a pretty big fan after he told Howard he's turned into Imus.

Btw, I found nothing about this show even remotely funny or interesting until Hanzi called in. Not saying that was great, but at least there was something to listen to and something approaching entertainment.

His podcast is OK at times but unless he's talking about the Stern show, it's not worth the price. In fact, it's unlistenable with that guy Gino Bisconti. The guy isn't funny, interrupts more than Robin and has an annoying voice. The guy Mike Bochetti is awful too. Sounds like a ignorant buffoon. The girl Sue Costello is also unfunny and largely makes the show unlistenable.

I'm sure Artie is selling a lot of subscriptions because he's talking about Howard.
