Assange 'assassination' mystery as embassy and police at odds over 'TWO HOUR' response
JULIAN Assange’s safety could be at serious risk after the embassy he has been holed up in for four years claimed police took TWO HOURS to reach him during a security alert.

The Embassy of Ecuador in London has confirmed reports a person scaled the wall and attempted to get inside the building before fleeing security staff.

International worry spread as fans of the WikiLeaks founder - Assange - suggested it may have been an attempt on his life.

The person, named a "cat burglar" in early reports, sought to get into the London based embassy at around 2.50am.

But the response by the Met Police has been slammed by the country's officials after they revealed officers did not show up to support them for hours.

A statement said: "According to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961), the host country has the special duty to take all steps to protect the Appropriate premises of any diplomatic mission Against any form of intrusion or harm.

"In this case, the security of the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK is the responsibility of the British Authorities.

"The Ecuadorian Government therefore it expresses concern about the inadequate response by the British Authorities, who only arrived at the embassy more than two hours after the incident took place.

"The Government of Ecuador regrets that, despite the enormous resources that the British government has undertaken to Prevent Julian Assange leaving the Ecuadorian embassy, the authorities did not respond more to this extremely serious quickly attempt an unauthorised entry."

The Metropolitan Police service has disputed the claim made by Ecuador.

A spokeswoman said: "We were called around 4.50am and officers arrived approximately 10 minutes later."

The Met insisted the call at 4.50am was the firs they were made aware of the incident.

The embassy said UK diplomatic police have been handed evidence over the attempted break-in.

Ecuador's Government also expressed it was willing to work with UK law enforcers "to Prevent future incidents".

Fans of Assange took to Twitter to suggest he may now be in danger inside the embassy.

One wrote: “Here we go. I hope Mr Assange knows what he's doing. Hope he leaves his information with others in case of an accident.”

Another said: “Somebody is definitely out for Assange. I really do hope Assange has some great intel for us once he's done redacting.”

Assange is accused of... fucking a couple of chicks without wearing a condom Seriously, that's the "crime" he's accused of. What the US wants, of course, is to get their claws on him and "disappear" him. What's the Orwell quote? "In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act."

Didn't they find a hit man in Trumps office last week?

What a strange time we live in. So many lies coming from .gov

$400 million was not ransom, a few weeks later, yes it was ransom.

Hey, I'm no conspiracy guy. Just posting some strange news.

I'm sure Assange has many more powerful enemies.

Draw your own conclusions, by all means.

Yes, a cat burglar targeting the embassy of ecuador and police take 2 hours to show up. Sounds totally reasonable.

Journalism is definitely dead. I'm not saying that because of bias or whatever. I'm saying that because news stories now regularly use Twitter tweets from random nobodies as if that's supposed to be evidence of anything.

TThe best part of that story is the graphic that shows that there's a police station literally right around the corner and the walking directions indicate that it only takes 2 minutes to get from there to the embassy
