and....who else likes breakfast for dinner?
I prefer a savory breakfast...and I do enjoy breakfast for dinner.
If forced to pick between the two, I'd pick the pancakes. French toasts can be hit or miss...sometimes the egg doesn't mix properly and you're stuck with egg all over your French toast. It's disgusting.
Pancakes are versatile. You can add blueberries or other fruits...like banana. Also, IHOP makes a pancake that looks like a giant face.
French Toast is yummier in my opinion.
Pancakes and/or French toast are sides to my bacon and eggs.
I do love French toast but, as GG said, it's easier to fuck it up.
I'm going to have to go pancakes as well.
Just for the versatility of them.
I kind of like that. I'm a big eggs for breakfast kind of guy. But that doesn't make the choice any easier.
What's the catch?
You doing a blind study for Proctor & Gamble? Fess up.
Such hard decisions!
I love both! I choose both at the same time!
I'll put the pancakes between the French toast and have a pancake sammich!
I prefer them without butter or syrup, just fold and go. So, I would take the french toast . Pancakes are too dry to eat on the fly.
I hear that, I swear to god, I can murder a pound of bacon! I don't know about everywhere else but here in the Northeast bacon is pricey for the good stuff, it's made me consider going country style and throwing in with some of these farmers on a half pig or something, I'm not quite sure how that whole deal works but I do have a big freezer. Restaurants here in the Northeast whack you nearly $4.00 for two strips, shoot....that's just a teaser.
The fact that you dumped them in batter does help.
I know the price of bacon has gone up here. I can make a pound disappear like a magician too!
This is the correct answer.
In a perfect world, assuming both dishes are executed properly, I would say French toast is the better of the two. Problem is, French toast is so rarely done well. And when it's not done well, some fairly bitter, foul tasting flavors can result. It's harder to fuck up pancakes. As well, when you do, it's usually more of a texture or consistency issue than a taste issue.
French toast with molasses, that's wassup!!!
viva la France! The best French toast I ever ate was in the Plaza hotel, NYC. It was a comp. breakfast, and ordinarily cost $50.00...and though I would never spend anywhere near that kind of cash on French toast, to this day I still savor the taste of this most delicious recipe. It was a work of art unlike any food I have ever had before or since. It was a preparation unlike any other French toast I have ever had before. Simply and utterly exquisite! On second thought give me the pancakes.
Was there gold in them there pancakes?
No syrup? SACRILEGE!!
Pancakes because they are versatile. You can top them with eggs and hot sauce (for example) or sweet stuff. Depending on ones mood.
I'm going crazy!
I cant decide.
