Re-test at 75, then 80, then every 2 years would be a great money making venture for states and well worth it. I have a friend who was paralyzed by a 90 year old, when he was driving his motorcycle, and the guy made an illegal u turn right in front of him.....
I was just thinkin..... Can you imagine being the person who would have to test the person in that video?!?!?! Riding along with a bunch of 80 year old folks all day! Oh man that job would probably go straight to the top of the list of deadliest jobs. Could probably even have its own reality show! Call it 50-50. As in you got a 50 -50 chance of passin, and a 50 -50 chance of dying.
i hate driving, it makes it hard to look at stuff. so the quicker i can stop, the more i'll like it. uber fills in quite nicely. i think people should be tested more rigorously in their mid 60s and up or earlier if called for. some will be fine into their 90s and some shouldn't be driving in their 50s (not to single out women or anything ) a few weeks ago, i watched a little old lady stand outside of her locked car while the car alarm was going off. it looked like she couldn't figure out how to open the door. i was going to help but there were a lot of people around and i figured she'd figure it out eventually. she might still be there. she was too old to be driving.
My uncle is 95 and still driving..He is in great shape for 95 but He has no business driving..Teens and old folks are the scariest drivers..
This... Our neighbor's kid was so freaked out by driving, they had to tell him if he didn't do more than 45 MPH on the freeway, they'd take his license away. I heard this and was like what??? Can you imagine all the cars doing 80 mph swerving in and out around him, trying not to hit him (or anyone else)?
