That could be quite a while. How old are you now?

85 would seem about right. Retire at 70 and fuck around for 10-15 years

I think people make it to about 80 before it starts to go downhill.
Even then, the doctors start prescribing whatever they can to get you to go until 90.

Also (and not to be depressing), no one ends up on the slab looking like an old tree with veins anymore.
Everyone is puffed up with bruises from IVs and tape and ventilators. Like they had to fight just to pass away.

I watched both of my wifes grandmas get shipped off to assisted living joints which were nice but one last just a couple of months before she stopped taking all her meds and saying she was done. The other held on and they ended up finding her drinking water out of the toilet and shipped her off to the "Sawgrass Room" where she stat staring at the wall for the next year. I like how the first one went out on her own terms

Barring any accidents, I have the feeling that I'm going to live a long time, I'll probably hit my 90s at least. It's in my genes, my grandfather lived until he was 96, my dad is 76 and still going strong.

This is a horrible thing to think about.

I plan to die at whatever age God has planned for me.

I deal a lot with the senior population in my profession and it is amazing how long people are living these days and how healthy they are well into their 80s, 90s and even 100s.

I plan to play it safe until my kids are 18 and then do some fairly dangerous shit.
